It is the last week before school is back in session, what better way to squeeze adventures into these final days of chaos and madness than to have your best friend sleep over. Now, we all know slumber parties have nothing to do with sleep, they are about staying up as long as you can, eating as much junk food as possible, watching movies, building forts, stargazing, laughter, secrets and building friendships.
The boys did everything they could to stay awake and we popped popcorn, watched movies, their favorite was "Mars Needs Moms", and playing with as many toys as possible. Their imaginations ran wild as they built a train track and the cars invaded the express way, then they were attacked by the transformers. They built a fort out of bedclothes and told stories late into the night. The sound of whispers was interrupted only by laughter.
In the morning we fixed a breakfast for champions, delicious pancakes and eggs. After breakfast it was as if their play time had not been disturbed, the laughter and joyful playing continued on until little rumbly tummys were ready for lunch. We headed to McDonald's and they ate their happymeals and we headed on the road to take Myles home. We played at his house and enjoyed the pool then during the heat of the day we settled in to watch "Toy Story" and we hugged our friends and headed home. Just a few days left before school is back underway and we can say we have had an adventurous summer!! Now time to get into the groove and get ready fir school!!
