Music, a Universal Language

I was driving around town and running errands and over the radio I the powerful sound of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture came over the radio. I have heard this song many times throughout my life and have performed it as well, but this version played by the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra was brilliant! This particular piece usually has recorded cannons and recorded bells, but this time they brought out the artillary and the bright sound of the bells, instruments and explosions filled my car. Now this particular piece of music has no historical connection with the United States, however it is often heard on the fourth of July. It was an amazing way to gear up and start my day! I love the power of music!
